Facilities Assistant

£19,621 plus £1,000 local pay allowance

Based in London

This job with the Secret Intelligence Service is a facilities role with a difference.  You'll help make sure that our UK premises are kept in the very best order.  As you do so, you'll play your part in the smooth running of an organisation that's working to protect the security of the nation.

It's a varied role, and you'll be ready to turn your hand to a whole range of tasks.  From delivering mail and stores to paining and decorating, clearing away rubbish to moving furniture, you'll be kept busy as part of a friendly and professional team.

To join us, you'll need a clean driving licence for cars and light commercial vehicles and basic IT literacy and numeracy skills.  You'll also need to have some experience of painting and decorating.  You'll also be be keen to learn new skills and happy to do any Health and Safety training you might need to use new equipment.  Finally, like anyone else who joins us, you'll need to have complete discretion.

There are a range of other qualifications and skills that would be very useful - although they aren't essential.   These include an EDCL computer and PASM Scaffolding qualifications, Health and Safety training, or experience driving a fork-lift truck.
