The Main Skills

We're not looking for any particular profile in terms of experience. You might have a background in Finance, HR, Procurement or general office management. Alternatively, you could be a recent graduate, or have a relevant professional qualification.

Certain qualities, however, are essential. Highly organised, you're able to make effective decisions based on sound judgement. A talent for communicating clearly, inspiring loyalty and getting the best out of people is also vital. Finally, complete discretion is crucial.

Office Manager roles

Efficient administration lies at the heart of the Service. From the management of our intelligence records, to the smooth running of our Finance, HR and Procurement functions, our Corporate Services people play a vital role in ensuring SIS is run effectively.

Join us as an Office Manager, and you'll get involved in a whole range of different departments, building strong relationships with people throughout the organisation and driving forward key projects. In short, you'll enjoy both variety and real influence. You'll already be familiar with many of the tasks you'll perform - running projects, supervising teams, and managing resources. But, because we work to safeguard the security and prosperity of the nation, the environment you work in will be very different.

It's an altogether more absorbing type of office career. Whether you're organising events programmes or liaising with officials at the highest level, you'll be constantly stimulated by new challenges and given excellent training and development opportunities.
