ASSISTANT OPEN SOURCE SPECIALIST

Salary £25,000 - £28,000

If you have a CILIP recognised qualification in librarianship or information science, this fascinating role with SIS could be the perfect career move for you. From the sheer variety of subjects you will research, to the comprehensive training you'll receive and the autonomy you'll be given to develop information resources throughout the organisation, it's a unique opportunity.

Using both in-house and external Open Source resources, you'll research and run complex reference enquiries. Above and beyond this, you'll set up and manage alerting services, index and catalogue Library resources using our Heritage management system and help us implement an in-house taxonomy and thesaurus.

We'll also look to you to market and promote Open Source throughout SIS, carrying out training at people's desks and helping maintain our Open Source intranet. By making information ever more readily accessible to people throughout the organisation, you'll play a pivotal role in our work.
