INFOSEC ACCREDITOR

Salary £30,000 - £36,000

The main elements of the position are:

To act as INFOSEC Accreditor ensuring that information systems meet both HMG and SIS security standards and that residual risks are acceptable.

To support and advise projects on the implementation of HMG INFOSEC requirements. With other Service departments interpreting National policies to develop new policies and procedures.

To represent SIS and provide security accreditation advice to security working groups for projects.

Qualities

Interest in and an aptitude for technology.

Ability to sift large amounts of material, to assimilate and assess information and to make sound judgements.

Good interpersonal skills and negotiating skills with an ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels.

High level of objectivity, discretion and loyalty.

Qualifications and Experience

You should have a sound technical background, ideally in a variety of areas, but including project and time management. Some experience of information security in a government setting would be useful.
